An expansion cartridge for the Atari 2600, similar to the SuperCharger, in that it allows players to play specially designed cassette tapes in a standard cassette player on the 2600. SuperCharger and Comp-K7 games are not cross-compatible.

Sufami Turbo

A cartridge with two cartridge ports on it, Bandai's Sufami Turbo gave the developer cheaper ways to produce and release a small handful of Super Famicom games.

Game Boy Player

A hardware accessory that attached to the bottom of the GameCube through its high-speed parallel port. This allowed Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance games to be played on a TV with GameCube controllers or a GBA. Also required was the included Game Boy Player Startup disc that went in the GameCube's disc drive.

XE-1AP

The XE-1AP, or XE-1 AP, is a controller released by Dempa Micomsoft in 1989, only for Japan, originally for the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) console. Ahead of its time, it was the first controller to feature an analogue thumbstick, analog slider, shoulder buttons and grip handles.

NES Speed Board

An NES accessory that was designed to hold a controller so the user didn't have to. Released in 1991, the idea was that it would allow the player to press buttons faster. It was poorly received and production was halted shortly after its release.

Roll & Rocker

An NES controller where a player stood on a board and shifted his/her weight in order to control the directional pad.

U-Force

An NES controller made by Brøderbund. It used IR sensors to control on screen action, rather than buttons.
